Lokomotiv v Glasgow Ansar

MATCH REPORT
Glasgow Ansar, top of the table, faced Lokomotiv looking to extend their strong start to the season, but it was the hosts who struck first. Ansar started brightly with plenty of possession, though clear chances were hard to come by.
As the first half progressed, Lokomotiv grew into the game and broke the deadlock down the left flank, with a sharp cut-back finished clinically to make it 1–0.
Ansar were fortunate to avoid conceding a penalty soon after but they rallied well, finishing the half strongly despite trailing.

The second half saw Ansar apply sustained pressure. Babee came agonizingly close to leveling the score with a thunderous 25-yard free-kick that rattled the underside of the crossbar. However, Lokomotiv struck again against the run of play, intercepting in their own third and breaking quickly, their right winger blasting home to make it 2–0.
Ansar refused to give up. They pulled one back from a corner when Babee headed the recycled delivery over the line. The equalizer came late, again from a set piece: substitute Bhatti’s pinpoint corner found Maaz, who powered a bullet header into the net to make it 2–2.
Despite dominating possession and creating chances late on, Ansar had to settle for a point. The draw keeps them top of the table, but there was a sense of frustration at not claiming all three
