This was our roving reporter weekend preview

The 10am kick-off is an ideal way to start your Sunday dose of GDSFC football. From there, the schedule builds through the afternoon with matches across every division & this week West cup action — giving plenty of choice for anyone who fancies ground-hopping around the city.

Early-season fixtures across the divisions are already shaping the narrative. Our roving reporter will be tracking the action, with a plan to take in at least two matches — and perhaps a third, if the timings fall kindly.

With many clubs tied up in West Cup action, the league card looks a little lighter this Sunday. That doesn’t make planning any easier though — if anything, it sharpens the choices.
Our roving reporter has two ways to plot a day on the touchlines:
By division like above to see where the big league storylines are. Or By kick-off time below to map out the chance of catching two or even three games in a day.
Whether it’s an early Division Three clash at Nethercraigs, a lunchtime Championship double at 12, or a late kick-off at Mountblow, Sunday is still packed with options.

The Sunday card may be lighter with many sides in West Cup action, but it still offers a full day of football for anyone willing to get around the grounds.
The day begins at Nethercraigs (10:30), where Muirend Ath meet Clyde Thistle in Division 3. It’s an early start that sets the tone and leaves the afternoon wide open.
Lunchtime brings two standout choices. At Clyde Valley High (12:00), Motherwell Villa face GSC Sunday in a West Cup tie, while just fifteen minutes later at Barlia Sports Complex (12:15), Castlemilk Comm take on Polonia Glasgow in the first Premiership clash of the day. Both fixtures promise plenty of quality.
In the afternoon, attention turns to another Cup tie. Renfrew Sports Centre (15:00) hosts Garrison v Cambusnathan — two ambitious clubs also featuring in our ongoing Your Club series.
And for those with energy to spare, there’s intrigue at Mountblow (14:00) as Vale AFC meet Unity AFC in Division 3. All told, it’s a Sunday that offers the roving reporter more than one route to a story.
