GK – Rory Burns – WOODBANK FC

Another top performance from the shot stopper which helped the team into the next round of the Cinema Cup.

GK – Lewis Wilson – PORT GLASGOW BC

A right back standing in goal to keep a clean sheet making some good saves and looking composed all night.

DEF – Matthew Laing – CAMBY MILAN

Matty had a brilliant 70 mins on Saturday where he was a constant threat down the right hand side! Battered and bruised a few times in the process but battled his way to help towards 3pts

DEF – Joe Scullion – RHU COLTS

Joe and his centre back partner showed their wealth of big game experience by being rock solid at the back. A goal at the other end of the park just added to a great performance.

DEF – Finlay McPherson – KINGS PARK UTD

The captain has been in great form and is leading by example on and off the park. He bagged another two goals at the weekend.

DEF – Donald Kilpatrick – WESTHILL UNITED

Motm was an absolute man mountain in the game! Won everything that came his way and look assured on the ball all game.

DEF – Ryan Martin – ROSSVALE HUNTERSHILL

Ryan produced a top all round display and it was just a quality performance from the wee man. His progress in the gym is clearly helping.

DEF – Ryan Coats – KINGS PARK UNITED

He might moan a lot but a top centre half that’s formed a great partnership with Paddy Boyle. Solid at the weekend again.

DEF – Jordan Kennedy – CORINTHIANS

Our captain was voted MOTM by Jonny Boyle. He was outstanding against an experienced PSP forward line and did not put a foot wrong.

DEF – Ross McQuilter – WESTHILL UNITED

Got a goal from a great ball on the right hand side, was solid when he came on and has been a great addition to the group!

DEF – Marc McKay – BISHOPTON FC

Sparky was outstanding on Saturday nullifying any threat down our left side. His energy enabled us to get higher up the pitch.

DEF – Jack Breslin – CORINTHIANS

This was Jack’s first full game for the Corinthians. He is an experienced centre back and a great replacement for Jonny Boyle. Like Jordan – he marshalled the PSP forwards very well.

DEF – Charlie Neil – WESTHILL UNITED

You know what you get with Charlie, full blooded and runs himself into the ground! Recognised by his team mates for a great performance in the 3-0 win.

DEF – Lewis Tait – CAMBUSLANG FA

What a performance from left centre back, won absolutely everything on the air and as always worked really hard and solid in a tackle. Even a few driving forward runs at times he was sensational.

DEF – Connor O’Brien – CORINTHIANS

Another new signing. Young Connor was absolute class. Strong in the air , firm in the challenge and composed when passing.

DEF – Paddy Boyle – KINGS PARK UTD

Paddy has been solid at the back and formed a great partnership with Ryan Coats. Aggressive as always at the weekend and helped us build attacks from the back.

DEF – Ritchie Henry – RHU COLTS

Like his centre back Scullion Ritchie was solid at the back. The win on Sat came from a solid defensive shape which these two provided as well as both defenders nabbing a goal apiece.

DEF – Parshant – GLASGOW ANSAR

Parshant was solid at the back, not giving the opposition forwards any opportunities to create chances.

DEF – Tommy Rough – NETHERCRAIGS

Tommy had a solid game epitomised with a goal line clearance off the line at 0-0.

DEF – Sam Gove – RIVER NEVIS

Sam was incredibly dominant at centre back all game long. The central defender was superb throughout the match and was the platform for our victory.

DEF – Lewis McGlynn – TORYGLEN THISTLE

Club captain Lewis controlled the back line despite playing out of position at Centre Back. He was solid in the tackle and won the vast majority of his duals.

MID – Kieran Traynor- CAMBY MILAN

KT was everywhere on Saturday! On the ball superb at driving forward and help create attacks! Off the ball he was tenacious as always and intercepting anything coming through the middle.

MID – Andrew McEwan – PORT GLASGOW BC

Veteran midfielder and former winner of the bunrig cup in his younger years, withstanding the test to dominate a youthful cumbernauld side.

MID – Dean Bates – ROSSVALE HUNTERSHILL

Dean was solid in the centre of the park and put in a fantastic shift. Good goal to cap off a good performance.

MID – Lewis Barr – REMO FC

Lewis was excellent at the weekend, providing four assists and constantly threatening the opposition. Although he missed a couple of chances himself, his creative influence was undeniable. LB’s driving run into the box also earned us the penalty — a top-class all-round performance.

MID – Connor McGhee – BISHOPTON FC

Connor made his debut for bishopton on Saturday and what a debut it was he was the driving force in the middle of the pitch, Connor’s performance was topped off with our 2nd goal a great strike into the top corner.

MID – Numaan Khan – GLASGOW ANSAR

Numaan ran the game from the middle of the park and was Involved in everything good Glasgow Ansar did going forward.

MID – TJ McCarrol – KNIGHTSWOOD AFC

Midfielder was everywhere today, running the game and his energy was massively important in getting the win. Popped up in the box as well to grab his 1st for the season

MID – Ross Campbell – KNIGHTSWOOD AFC

The winger had the Islands defenders on skates for the full game. Took his goal well and added an assist for good measure

MID – Kieran Redmond – ROSSVALE HUNTERSHILL

Redders continued his fine start to life in the premiership producing another scintillating showing.

MID – Dylan Roberts – QUEENS PARK SFC

Goal and an assist from the QP captain as he stamped his authority on the game in the second half. His fine cross was converted by Alex Duff before he got in on the act himself with a trademark 20 yard free kick which left the Bearsden keeper with no chance. First competitive goal of the season for Dylan and surely won’t be the last.

MID – Kieran Tidser – NETHERTON

Kieran struck a hat trick from centre mid which is pretty special. Tidser was superb and walked away with the MOTM award.

MID – Mitchell Clocherty – REMO FC

Skipper was solid running and battling throughout the game. Converting a penalty early doors and scoring another to add to his goal list. Mitchell has been a machine running the middle of our midfield.

MID – Aiden Gallacher – PARK SPORTS PROJECT

Gal made many driving runs throughout the game causing Corinthians all sorts of problems and was always available as a target man when needed.

STR – Ethan Furze – BISHOPTON FC

Another hat-trick for Ethan sees him in team of the week however by Ethan’s standards he will be disappointed as he should have had more.

STR – Rocco McGilvary – TORYGLEN THISTLE

Rocco contributed heavily to the win on Saturday as he set up two goals and scored two himself – including a 25 yard rocket shot.

STR – Maaz Malik – GLASGOW ANSAR

Maaz came on at half time and scored three goals to put the game to bed and give Glasgow Ansar their first three points of the season.

STR – Shane Jackson – NETHERCRAIGS

Shane got a perfect hat trick on Saturday and dug us out of a whole with some real quality when 4-2 down to win us the match like a real leader does

STR – Lennon McGuinness – NETHERTON AFC

Lennon was at his best today and managed to score a hat trick helping us to another emphatic victory.

CF – Steven Wilson – RIVER NEVIS

Steven Wilson was superb throughout the 90 minutes, His two goals were the difference between a point and the three valuable points we earned.

STR – Hayden McCormack – WOODBANK FC

The match winner stood up when we really needed him. Hayden scored two fantastic free kicks and sent Woodbank on the way to victory.

STR – Shaun Wallace – RHU COLTS

A hat trick from the big man on his Conference League debut at Greenfields in Shettleston. The classy strikers clever movement kept the GCR defence busy all game.

STR – Greg McArthur – QUEENS PARK SFC

On target twice (first a pinpoint header and second a left footer from outside the box) and a typically excellent performance from the big man. Drove his team on from the middle of the park and picked up where he left off from his performance against Netherton in the League Cup section.

STR – Shaun Joyce – CAMBUSLANG FA

Shaun scored another 2 goals on Saturday after being moved from midfield to play up top. The goalscorer now has 4 goals in 2 games hes flying at the moment.

This week’s squad is another reminder of the strength of Saturday morning football in the GCFA. Energy, skill, ambition — it’s all there, and Squad of the Week keeps capturing it.
