We announce GCFA BOCA CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYER OF THE MONTH FOR AUGUST
The Boca Championship has already delivered drama, goals and big moments — and August belonged to one player whose influence couldn’t be ignored.
August was such a good month for Port Glasgow Boys Club and our winner announced today played a big part in their team making into the Boca Championship and progressing in the cup competitions.

An excellent August personally means Port Glasgow attacker Liam Kelly walks away with the Boca Chsmpionship Player of the Month award.

Liam is a top quality attacker who leads his team by example on the park. He gives his team such an outlet with his speed. Defenders know if they switch off for even a second, he’ll be in behind. That kind of threat changes games.”
Liam has been amongst the goals throughout August most importantly helping his team qualify for the Boca Championship.

Eight goals and a tremendous month of football from Liam rightly see’s him deservedly pick up the GCFA Boca Championship Player of the Month.

THE GAFFER

We caught up with his gaffer Ryan Stewart who said.
“ What can i say about Liam other than i’m glad he is on our team and we don’t need to play against him on a weekly basis.”
“I’m delighted for him. He’s worked incredibly hard, and this award is recognition of the consistency and quality he’s shown all month. It’s fully deserved.”

From blistering pace to ruthless finishing, August showed us exactly what the Boca Championship is all about — quality on the pitch and passion behind the badge. If this is the marker for the season ahead, then spectators are in for a treat.
