Transfer Deadline Day marks the conclusion of a transfer window—the last opportunity for football clubs to register new players before the next window opens. It’s a high-stakes, suspense-filled event marked by last-minute deals and widespread media attention

Social Media HQ looks at players moving clubs within the GCFA during the summer transfer window.

Here are a few more big moves within the GCFA.

JED ALLAN – KNIGHTSWOOD

Jed had a very good season with Lomond FC during the 2024/25 campaign. Unfortunately for Lomond FC and Jed his club folded during the summer months just before pre season. Luckily for Jed Knightswood AFC manager John Mullen had been tracking the midfielder for some time and he used this opportunity to get his man. Jed had an impressive debut against Glasgow Islands as he helped his team to a 4-3 victory at Firhill complex.

SEAN DONNELLY – GREATER CROFTPARK ROSE

Sean was a member of the Cambuslang Milan squad of 2024/25 but with so much competition for places the full back decided to move clubs.

Greater Croftpark Rose were on the lookout for a new full back and they were immediately impressed with the qualities Sean had to offer.

Sean immediately impressed during his first five games for his new club and helped them qualify for the Championship.

SHAUN WALLACE – RHU COLTS

Sean Wallace

Rhu Colts arguably pulled of the signing of the season when they secured the signature of ex St Patricks FP player Shaun Wallace.

The front man has moved to Rhu Colts and started the season off with a a flurry of goals including three against GCR.

The GCFA summer window reminded us why grassroots football is packed with drama 🎬 New beginnings, fresh rivalries, and signings already making their mark. If this is what August delivered, imagine what’s still to come 💥 #GCFAAlive #TransferDeadlineDay #ScottishAmateurFootball
