The script was written: Scottish Cup glamour, a rousing warm-up routine, and 90 minutes of chaos. Instead? A no-show.

Now, on Saturday 6th September, Nethercraigs need you. A friendly, a bounce game, or a showdown in the supermarket car park — they’ll take it.

Hugh Dunnit’s verdict: “Football owes them a game. Who’s brave enough to answer the call?”

NETHERCRAIGS NEED YOUR HELP

Nethercraigs FC: Now Taking Applications for Saturday Morning Mischief

Nethercraigs AFC

Well folks, we’ve been stood up. That’s right — our Scottish Cup opponents have pulled the old “can’t make it, soz” routine and forfeited. Honestly, it’s a shame, because we had just finished practicing our intimidating warm-up routine (which mostly involves arguing about whose turn it is to pump up the balls).

So now, Nethercraigs find ourselves with a free Saturday morning on 6th September, boots polished, kits washed (well… rinsed, anyway), and nowhere to channel our questionable footballing talents.

That’s where YOU come in. We’re on the hunt for a friendly fixture — home, away, neutral ground, car park, back garden — we’re not fussy. We just need 90 minutes of someone else’s shin pads to clatter into.
