With the dust settling, how does it feel to come out on top in such an important league fixture?
Great feeling, we know how strong PSP are and also know that’s a big result as I’d imagine they’ll be right up there again at the end of the year so a good win away from home early on in the season.

What do you think was the key to today’s victory?
Determination to keep going. Went up twice and were pegged back so it was nice to get that final goal and sneak the win.
There were some real battles out there — what was going through your mind in the toughest moments of the match?
Just keep at it, PSP are a big strong physical side and we were missing a couple of our bigger players so just had to dig deep and keep trying to play out football.
You have been alongside these lads all season — what does this win say about the character of the squad?
I think from when we started we have had loads of big games that we’ve won with a late goal in tight games, so we all know we can do it and have it in us, we just need to keep battling away during the games.

Definitely towards the end when we got the third goal but then I stupidly got sent off so thought I’d maybe thrown it away.
Did the coach/manager set a specific game plan, and how well do you think the team executed it?
Yeah Jonnys came in this year from playing and you can see he wants to go far in the game so gives us specific instructions and he knows all the teams well and what we need to try do to stop them playing to their strengths.
Were there any moments when you thought the result could swing the other way? Definitely they had a couple chances towards the end but Tom made a good save and they hit the bar so done well to hang on with 10 men.

I thought Josh flood was excellent. Thomas and murney with the goals again, Jack a new signing playing his first game and Conor another new signing with his first start but floody has been immense since the start of the season.
What does this win mean for your season ambitions at the top of the league?
Great win early on in the season and we just keep at it, we have some tough games coming up and we know we can’t afford to drop many points in this league.
