The GCFA Conference has burst onto the scene with energy, goals, and big performances – and the players have wasted no time making their mark. From clinical strikers to tireless midfield generals, the standard has been set. As part of our first-ever Monthly Awards, here are the Conference nominees who’ve lit up the opening month.

KYLE MACDONALD – WESTHILL UNITED

Kyle’s influence on the Westhill United team is certainly undeniable, When the striker is on form them he makes his team a formidable force.

The attackers clever front play and linking with the midfield and other forwards is top tier.

Kyle was an easy nomination for Player of the month.

MITCHELL CLOCHERTY – FC REMO

Mitchell has been in outstanding form over the past month, netting 6 goals from midfield. His work rate is second to none, consistently putting in a full 90 minutes and covering every blade of grass.

Relentless in his running and fearless in the challenge, he sets the standard for those around him.

The Remo FC skipper is also raring to go for the season ahead, getting off to a flying start with 2 goals in the opening game, helping us secure all 3 points against Cathcart.

SHAUN JOYCE – CAMBUSLANG FA

Shaun has great quality on the ball and he scored two fantastic goals on last week which really helped the club pick up a vital win

Saturday was probably his best performance in Cambuslang jersey to date.

An all round good month for shaun sees him in the running for our Conference League Player Of The Month

ISAAC FRAIN – BANKNOCK AFC

Banknock have had an up and down start to life in the Glasgow Colleges Football Association.

One thing consistent in the early days of Banknock’s tenure in the GCFA is the form of Isaac Frain.

The midfielder has really turned up and put in a host of performances that have caught the eye of Social Media HQ.

An all round good month for Isaac sees him in the running for our Conference League Player Of The Month

FELICIANO BALDE – BURNHILL FC

Playing as a number 10 Feliciano has been at the heart of most of Burnhill’s good attacking play throughout the early weeks of the season.

Feliciano’s quality on the ball makes him stand out and his recent performances have certainly caught the eye of social media HQ

GREG MCARTHUR – QUEENS PARK SFC

Greg has came into the GCFA and started the like he has always played his football in the set up.

His manager had high praise for one of his top players ⬇️

‘Last season’s Players Player of the Year has carried on where he left off with 3 goals in 4 games for August and a series of top performances.

The all action midfielder has taken the step into the Colleges setup in his stride and was Man of the Match in the opening league win against Bearsden’

Greg was an easy choice for one of the Conference League POTM nominations.
