PARK SPORTS PROJECT V CORINTHIANS

Saturday morning at the Palace of Arts throws up a tasty one – Park Sports Project taking on Corinthians.
The two haven’t clashed this season as we are only in week three of the season, but PSP come in flying after two ruthless wins, banging in seven goals without reply. A 3–0 over Clydeside Athletic followed by a 4–0 at Clydebank SMFC shows they mean business. Corinthians? Tougher start.
They shipped six against Steins Thistle which can happen as they are a quality side.
The new management team will be disappointed with the opening day of the season which they drew 1–1 with newly promoted Clydebank Red Star. They will be happier with their 5-2 victory over Rossvale Huntershill though.
Form and tables don’t lie – PSP sit top with a perfect six points, Corinthians further down with just the single point.
All signs point to Park Sports Project keeping that momentum rolling… but you never know in this league.
THE BIG GAME

Palace of Arts – 10:00, Saturday 30th August
Park Sports Project and Corinthians meet for the first time this season in the Hills Solicitors Colleges Premiership this weekend.
These clubs have a history thats two long to go into but long story short they have been major rivals for three seasons
Corinthians are currently winning that fight with two premier league titles to Park Sports one.
Both these big rivals would like to think they will be at the top of the mountain when the dust settles again in May. But for now we are in August and at the beginning of the season.
A FLYING START ?
PSP arrive in blistering form, having opened the season with back-to-back clean sheets and seven goals scored – a 3–0 win over Clydeside Athletic followed by a 4–0 triumph against Clydebank SMFC. That run has them sitting top of the table.

Corinthians have found it tougher going. They were on the wrong side of a 6–2 against Steins Thistle before steadying with a 1–1 draw at Clydebank Red Star.

Who to watch out for ?
Ryan Murney – Corinthians

Ryan is a player that i won’t need to tell Park Sports Project about, The ruthless attacker has been a thorn in the side of PSP in many occasions.
The home team will know that keeping him quiet will be a must if they are to go on and win the game.
Jordan Grant – Park Sorts Project

The PSP captain has been at the club for many years and gets better each time we see him in action. If truth be told he is actually a hard man to pin down as his versatility and all round ability has saw him play in most positions for his club.
Jordan is a big game player and definitely be a vital cog in the machine if Park Sports Project are to win.
The away team will certainly need to keep close tabs on Mr Grant.
Who look to be the favourites ?
On paper, Park Sports Project are favourites – but Saturday morning football has a habit of springing surprises. In all honesty i don’t think there is ever a favourite when these two club’s come together.

ROVING REPORTERS VIEW

If you are a neutral then get yourself along to watch this game of football as it will be packed with quality players and two teams who want to play good football.
Your roving reporter has been to see these sides play on at least four or five occasions and there has never been a dull match between the clubs.
Im not willing to predict the score of this mammoth encounter so early on in the season but what i will predict is that this game will be a cracker.
This will not be a season defining game so early in the season but these three points could make the difference when both teams final tallies are totalled at the end of the season. Good luck to both clubs.
