The competition was fierce, the decisions tough – but this week’s GCFA Manager of the Week made it impossible to look past him

A wonderful week for Thomas Quinn saw him and his Rutherglen Glencairn AFC team pick up a very important victory to send his club into the next round of the Cinema cup

Saturday was a day when Quinn’s attacking player’s really showed up and got the job done. Hat tricks for Smith and Henry was the icing on the cake for Rutherglen.
Quinn and Rutherglen will want to keep this fantastic run going as long as they possibly can.

Rutherglen Glencairn AFC have been a formidable force in the Glasgow Colleges Football Association for many years and Quinn has set about trying to make an impact on the national cups.

Quinn’s team started the game well and never really gave their opponents Plean AFC a chance to get any sort of foothold in the match

We caught up with the man of the moment and he had the following to say ⬇️

The boys were excellent on Saturday and executed our game plan perfectly.
We went there with a good few boys missing so to come away with an emphatic win is all credit to the boys who played.
To be perfectly honest it probably could and should have been more as we missed a few good chances, our only issue is we conceded bit I’m just being over critical 😂

With momentum building, Quinn’s Rutherglen side are proving they’re not just here for the league or local cups — they’ve got national competition ambitions too.
