What is the GCFA Premier League?
The league consists of the top 13 clubs in the set up battling it out to be crowned Premier League champions.
Which teams play in the Premier League?
Thirteen teams will contest the GCFA Premier League this season.
It was Scheduled to be fourteen clubs but unfortunately Lomond FC folded just before the season kicked off.
The Longest Serving club ?
New clubs in the League ?
They replace DTI AFC and Lokomotiv Glasgow, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.
How does the Premier League work?
Every team plays each other twice over the course of the season: once at their home ground and once away at the oppositionâs ground.
Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss. All teams are ranked in order of points to determine the final standings.
In total, 24 matches are played, with a maximum of 72 points up for grabs.
The team that ends the season top of the standings are crowned GCFA Premier League champions.
The bottom three teams in the Premier League standings are relegated to the Championship, where they are replaced the following season by those that finish in the top two of the Championship, with the third spot decided by the winner of the playoffs.
(This is subject to change if we have any teams who fold and donât finish the season
If multiple teams end level on points in the table, they will be separated by goal difference, which is the difference between how many goals they have scored during the season and how many goals have been scored against them.
If teams are still level, they will be ranked according to goals scored, head-to-head record and then away goals scored in head-to-head matches.
What do you get for winning the Premier League?
Corinthians title win earned them the coveted Premier League Shield.
The GCFA offers no specific prize fund for winning the competition. Instead, the team that finishes top receives the highest amount of praise and adjudication from their peers and social media.
Last seasonâs winners were Corinthians , who were crowned Premier League champions for the second time in their short three year history.
Reading the history books shows that Park Sports Project and Corinthians are currently chasing down Central AFC who have won the competition four times before.

Which Premier League team should I support?
With 13 clubs to choose from there is a team for everyone.
If black is your favourite colour then you could choose a team whose home shirt is black
Rutherglen Glencairn AFC play in black and white stripes and they are bidding to win their first ever Premier League this season.
If you are partial to the colour blue and you fancy watching a team who go all out to win games and play attacking football then Nethercraigs might be the team you want to follow.
If you stay in a particular area like Clydebank or Bishopton then we have clubs in that region who you might want to follow.
We have so many well established teams in our Premier League that whoever you follow will definitely not be a bad choice.
