Each week, performances across the GCFA catch our eye — but only a select few make it into the Team of the Week. Built from record nominations by supportive clubs, this line-up shows the talent, graft, and moments of brilliance that shaped the weekend’s action

GOALKEEPER
GK – Callum Moffat – BUSBY AFC

The only keeper named in squad of the week so Podge makes it into the starting eleven for this first team of the week.
Callum started the match as left back but after Busby went down to 10 men with their keeper seeing red he took the gloves.
Not content with just taking the gloves Moffat made some great saves at 2-1 to keep his club in the game.
Shouts were even herd from the pgbc sidelines hes better than your actual keeper 🤣🤣
We thought Moffat acquitted himself well in very difficult circumstances against a very tough team.
DEFENDERS
DEF – Kevin Harrity – SOUTHSIDE UNITED

The Southside United Captain has been superb the past three week producing brilliant performances and adding goals and assist almost every game.
Kevin leads the team by example and was absolutely superb on Saturday.
DEF – Jude McKenna – REMO FC

Jude has settled in very well over the past two games, stepping into centre-back while a few lads have been away on holiday.
For just turning 17, he shows real composure on the ball and his background in high-level football with the likes of Airdrie is clear to see.
Jude isn’t afraid of a challenge and makes excellent use of his size and physical presence.
DEF – Jacob Kennedy – Corinthians

The flying full back had been an unbelievable find for Corinthians since joining mid way through last season.
The consistency of his performances has been so good for a player who is so young.
Jacob showed just how good his engine was on Saturday and gave Corinthians another dimension going forward.
His final delivery was excellent and led to a very important goal against Rossvale Huntershill on Saturday.
MIDFIELDERS
MID – Logan Campbell – TORYGLEN THISTLE

Logan was outstanding at the heart of the Toryglen Thistle Midfield.
The combative midfielder was superb at at breaking up the play and starting attacking plays for his team.
Logan really helped his team out when they needed him the most and played a vital part in a massive victory for the club.
MID – Ross McKenna – RHU COLTS

Ross had an excellent game in midfield against River Nevis on Saturday.
The box to box midfielder topped off his performance with a fine goal which helped kill off the opposition at a crucial time in the match.
MID – Jordan Grant – PARK SPORTS PROJECT

The Park Sports Project captain was excellent on Saturday and really led by example throughout the match.
Jordan’s performance on the day was enough to secure him a place in the Team Of The Week.
MID – Gary McAloon – GREATER CROFTPARK ROSE

Gary has been outstanding for the club in these early stages of the season.
On Saturday he controlled the game both going forward and going back.
He also chipped in with an assist and scored the goal of the game with a placed shot that flew into the top corner
STRIKERS
STR – Gary Arbuckle – CLYDEBANK SMFC

Two goals from the captain marvel on a day when his club really needed to kickstart their season.
The talisman was a thorn in the side of the Knightswood back line who just didn’t know how to deal with him.
STR – Patrick Foxworthy – BUSBY AFC

Patrick was outstanding on Saturday playing in the lone striker roll with Busby going down to ten men early on in the game.
The striker really worked hard for the his team and slotted home a last min pen to earn his club a vital point to secure our place in the championship.
The Prolific striker scored a great hat trick aswell.
STR – Dylan Henry – RUTHERGLEN GLENCAIRN AFC

Dylan made is competitive debut against Clydebank Red Star on Saturday. The striker turns up and puts in a MOTM performance topping it off with Hat trick.
Overall an excellent debut from the no9 and hopefully more to come from him also
