Social Media HQ was made aware of a very interesting story this week and therefore we have decided to bring back our hero of the week.
Since GCFA SM HQ started this brilliant journey one story keeps popping up that sums up- the beauty of Scottish amateur football.
The outfielder who takes one for the team by volunteering to be the goalkeeper and amazing how many times they have major influence on game

This week would see Callum Moffat of Busby AFC thrust his name into the spotlight by stepping up in his clubs time of need and taking one for the team.

Callum was not only content with going in goals the young defender actually made some great saves throughout the game.
At the crucial point of 2-1 the stand in keeper made a number of stunning stops to keep Busby AFC in the match.

The spectators of Port Glasgow Boys Club were even heard shouting “ That boy is better than your actual keeper “ 🤣🤣

It is certainly not unique for this kind of situation to play out but it certainly takes some courage from the player to take the gloves and go on goals.
