After every round of competitive matches this season, one of our few social media football pundits will give you his team of the Week.

Here are this week’s choices. Do you agree?

GOALKEEPER

GK – Andrew Patterson- GREATER CROFTPARK ROSE

The only keeper named in squad of the week so Podge makes it into the starting eleven for this first team of the week.

The Greater Croftpark Rose number one has had a great week for his club and has really been there when he has been needed.

We thought Patterson was good, organised, made saves when he needed to, and all in all was excellent.

DEFENDERS

DEF – James Traynor – CLYDEBANK RED STAR

JT has brought his form from last season into this. He’s had an excellent pre-season and was MOTM on Saturday against Corinthians. Absolutely solid at the back and composed on the ball when required.

DEF – Tommy Smith – WOODBANK FC

Tommy scored a possible goal the season contender on Saturday and is getting better and better as each game goes past.

He’s always a seven out of ten. I want to give him some credit this season. I think he’s started off excellent, another breakout year, and you can just see him going from strength to strength.

DEF – Sammy Edun – NETHERCRAIGS

Sammy played right wing back and caused Knightswood a lot of problems with his pace. Also took a horror challenge and got back up and played like a champ.

He’s a really underrated player this guy, but under David Boyd, he seems to have found his stride and his patterns.

MIDFIELDERS

MID – Connor Docherty – BUSBY AFC

A standout performance from Connor in today’s League Cup opener, solid throughout and capped it off with a brilliant match-winning free kick.

He’s taking games over, getting confidence. Also growing into a top player.

MID – Andy Lindsay – TORYGLEN THISTLE

Andy got a hat trick on the opening day of the season and he worked very hard off the ball for his teammates. A very easy choice for team of the week.

One of the most dangers Boca Championship platers last season and he’s started life in the Premier League with a gat trick already.

MID – Aiden Gallacher – PARK SPORTS PROJECT

GAL had his shooting boots with him on Saturday and he really put the opposition to the sword with some quality finishing.

A Big year for Gall and maybe time for him to prove he is one of PSPS Main men.

WING – Gary Trussler – KINGS PARK UNITED

WING – Gary Trussler – KINGS PARK UNITED

Gary was great in both our games in the league cup section, contributing three goals. His quality on the ball is massive for us.

Trussler has had a fantastic six months in the GCFA, Can the striker keep his form going and fire Kings Park to the Premier League ?

STRIKERS

STR – Kyle MacDonald – WESTHILL UNITED

Kyle scored four and set up Three, What at game it was for our prolific talisman, Probably as good a game as you’ll see him have, and he just caused non stop problems.

Kyle has started the new season off just like normal, Can the striker shoot his side to glory this season.

STR – Liam Kelly – PORT GLASGOW BOYS CLUB

Liam has made a fantastic start for the season scoring six goals in our opening two games. hopefully this is just the start for Liam.

New to the league Liam is already making a name for himself.

STR – John Tierney – SOUTHSIDE UNITED

John runs all day for the team 4 goals in first game of season and never ever moans regardless what position.

Could this be Tierney’s break out season ?
