The goalkeeper was superb in both the clubs games throughout this busy week. Having a fit and inform Podge makes a big difference to the club.
DEFENDERS

An outstanding performance from our Captain. Brilliant timing and ball distribution, made him a stick out in this game.

DEF – Sam Kent- TORYGLEN THISTLE
Sam shut out the Bishopton winger who persisted on playing a direct ball over Sam. Great defence work and was very good going forward.

The prodigal son returns. Coatsy has slotted back into centre of defence brilliantly and was great in both our opening games.

MIDFIELDERS

man of the match performance and second goal in as many games for the young forward. Joint top scorer last season and will be looking to kick on a good start to the season.

MID – Marc Smart – CLYDEBANK RED STAR
Marc is a player who we’ve wanted in at Red Star for a while and his performance on Saturday is the reason why. An absolute pitbull in the middle of the park. Didn’t stop running all day, put 100% into every challenge and composed on the ball too.

MID – Connor Docherty – BUSBY AFC
A standout performance from Connor in today’s League Cup opener, solid throughout and capped it off with a brilliant match-winning free kick.

MID – Andy Lindsay – TORYGLEN THISTLE
got the hat trick and worked very hard off the ball.

MID – Tony Mitchell – ROSEBANK UNITED
New addition to the squad and brought composure to the midfield. Loads of energy to go with it.

MID – Lee Goodwin – CATHCART
Lee was close to his best today and hopefully he stays in this kind of form. Lee makes us a better team when he plays like this.

MID – Adnan Hussain – SOUTHSIDE UNITED

MID – Kyle Foster – BUSBY AFC
A great performance from the midfield maestro himself , keeping Kyle fit is a must for us

MID – Ben Mills – SOUTHSIDE UNITED
Ben can be found anchoring the midfield and he even got a goal too. The midfielder keeps us ticking over and is a joy to watch the way he takes the ball , the ginger Kante.

MID – ADAM BURNS – WOODBANK AFC
MOTM on Saturday and as always a very influential player in the team.

MID – Calvin Neill – PORT GLASGOW BC
A solid performer in the opening 2 games, playing CM and scoring on MD1 & then contributing to a clean sheet at CB in last nights win.

MID – Bradley Anderson – PORT GLASGOW BC
The New summer signing has a solid performer in the opening fixtures scoring 2 and creating more. Dictating the tempo in midfield, he’s started the season very well.

GAL had his shooting boots with him on Saturday and he really put the opposition to the sword with some quality finishing.

MID – Zak Millsopp – LOKOMOTIV
The youngster has put in great performances battling in the midfield and crucially grabbing two goals from following in at set pieces, critical to our results.

MID – Marc Buckley – WESTHILL UNITED
Started in the 10 and picked up pockets of space all game allowing us to break and transition quickly! Should have had a goal to reward his efforts on the night! 👍

The midfielder played well against Ansar on Saturday but he was MOTM against Cathcart on Thursday night. A classy performance from the midfielder.
STRIKERS

A man of the match performance and second goal in as many games for the young forward. Joint top scorer last season and will be looking to kick on a good start to the season.er.

STR – Barry Waddell – THIRD LANARK
The striker put in a joint man of the match along on sat with his teammate, then opened his account with an outstanding header on Tuesday night to open the scoring. A nuisance up front who will no doubt get double figures this season.

Scored 4 set up 3! Probably as good a game as you’ll see him have, and just caused non stop problems.

STR – Connor Doughty – WESTHILL UNITED
Got a hattrick and a flurry of assists in the win! Played off the left and was always a threat.

Gary was great in both our games in the league cup section, contributing three goals. His quality on the ball is massive for us.

STR – Kieran Irwin – LOKOMOTIV
The new striker has been a handful for our league cup opponents, battling for everything whilst also neatly taking two great finishes, one in each game, and continually testing the keepers.
