It was such a hard choice to pick only one player but the stand out shot stopper in our opinion was Toryglen Thistle number one Danny Graham.

We drew up a list of end of season awards & have finally got round to putting them all into one feature and we start with our GCFA Goalkeeper of the season for 2024/25

Football is just not all about stats there are many more aspects that go with becoming a top player, Danny definitely has the stats to back up many more of his qualities that see him being our goalkeeper of the season.

One of Dannys crowing moments of season 2024/25 would definitely have been the Jim Harvey Cup Final against Rosevale Huntershill.

Danny was simply sensational that night as pulled off a string of high quality saves and walked away with the man of the match trophy afterwards.

Winning the Jim Harvey Cup was the first part of an historic treble for Toryglen Thistle and if Danny never performed the way he did in that final it’s arguable that the treble might never have happened.

We have seen Danny in action several times this season and he certainly caught the eye. He is a strong physical presence in the Thistle goal and that alone intimidates opposition strikers.

We caught up with Dannys co manager Kieran Scott and he was quoted saying ⬇️

The man for the big occasion who pulls off massive saves in huge games and also an expert in saving penalty kicks. Dan is easily one of the best goalkeepers In the whole of Scottish amateur football and we are very lucky to have him at toryglen
