This summer has been a very busy time for clubs within the GCFA But one club in particular has been very busy re-shaping their squad for the new season ahead.

Nethercraigs Manager David Boyd is no stranger to the transfer market and in recent weeks the boss has made multiple moves to improve the quality within his club

TOMMY ROUGH

Nethercraigs AFC are delighted to announce the signing of Thomas Rough.

Tommy previously played for us 4 seasons ago before playing with various WOSFL teams including Saltcoats, Muirkirk, West Park and most recently St Peter’s.

TOMMY DUFFY

Nethercraigs AFC are delighted to announce the signing of versatile midfielder Tommy Duffy. Tommy has came from the recently folded Southside FC where they won the SMAFA Championship and previously won player of the year. Even early on it’s apparent he will be a great addition.

JORDAN HAY

Jordan Hay will be joining us this season.

He previously won the SMAFA Championship with Southside AFC last season and will no doubt add real quality in the middle of the park.

ZANDER MCGEOWN

The return of the Zange

Zander McGeown will be back down next season as a player. He came down 3 seasons ago and helped us get to the Jim Harvey Cup final then joined us on our backroom team and helped us to an invincible season after a year playing at Neilston has decided to come back. Zander is an experienced centre half who will help a lot with organisation and leadership at the back

FINAL THOUGHTS

Social media HQ caught up with David Boyd and the Nethercraigs gaffer was absolutely delighted with the new arrivals that have joined his club during a busy summer.

Ther Nerries boss said that if you don’t keep trying to improve and move forward then inevitably you stand still.

We want to move forward and keep progressing as a club and i feel these four players will help the club do just that.
