With the start of the new season within touching distance we take a look at some of the players who will compete in the Glasgow Colleges Football Association this Season.

Lennon McGuinness plays for Netherton AFC who have just joined the Glasgow Colleges Football Association and they will play their football in either Boca Championship or the conference.

Netherton recently played their football in the Strathclyde Saturday Morning Football league and fancied a change of scenery and a new challenge this season.

Lennon who plays out wide joined the club in 2024 and has been a regular in the team since joining the club.

Versatility is one of Lennon’s greatest qualities, throughout his time at the club he has been used at full back and even up front.

The winger finished the last campaign on very good form and his club will be hoping that he can start the new season in the same fashion.

Lennon is the quintessential inverted winger, redefining the role on the right flank with his trademark skills which see him Cut inside from the right wing onto his left foot and cause the opposition defenders all sorts of problems.

That new era for Netherton starts on Saturday the 9th of August.

Netherton start in the league qualifying section with a very tricky match as they face Dreams United in their GCFA debut.
