It’s that time of the year again and we feel it is right to acknowledge a referee who we thought had an outstanding season and one in particular who is just new to the GCFA
It was certainly a tough choice as there were quite a few candidates for this particular award as the standard of our referees has grown quite a bit recently.
After much deliberation the man we feel stood out above the others and certainly deserves this award.
Referee Jim Feerick has been voted the 2024/2025 Glasgow Colleges Football Association Referee Newcomer of the Year after an outstanding campaign officiating at the highest level of GCFA football.

Feerick has been refereeing for many years and it was to the fortune of the Glasgow Colleges Football Association that Jim chose to display his talents on our stage.
The experienced whistler was on the line for a two semi final’s this season and was the 4th official for the GCFA Cup final between Park Sports Project and Toryglen Thistle.
Jim had an outstanding season overall and his name was on the lips of many people throughout the GCFA when it came to talking about referees.
We congratulate Jim on a great season and hope he can produce the same level of performances in the 2025/26 season.
