We take a look at some of the nominations that we reviewed for Referee of the season 2024/25

It is only right that we show some recognition to the match officials that more than play their part in helping our game thrive.
Take a look below to see our nominations for referee of the season.
Dylan Dowie

We are pleased to confirm that Dylan has kept up his high standards and stood out as a nomination for Referee of the Season 2024/25
Mark Daly

The Whistler has been with the league set up for longer than he will care to admit and his tenure and performances make him one of the most respected officials within the Glasgow Colleges Football Association.
Mark had a fantastic 2024/25 season culminating in him officiating the Jim Harvey Cup Final.
Stuart McLearie

Not many people will know this but Stuart who has been with the GCFA nearing two decades had serious health problems and he battle back to continue doing what he loves to do.
Aside from what has been just mentioned Stuart had another great season and was a name that was mentioned to us on several occasions.
We here at Social Media HQ and the GCFA have so much respect for Stuart.
John Campbell

If truth be told it could certainly be argued that John is underrated as a match official due to the sheer level of his consistency.
Social Media HQ certainly do not over look the long serving match official and he makes the prestigious list of nominations for the 2024/25 Referee of the season.
Jim McNeill

Jim was the social media referee of the year in 2023 and this was due to his overall popularity within the game. 2024/25 has been another fantastic year for McNeil including officiating the GCFA Cup Final between Park Sports Project and Toryglen Thistle.
It is definitely no surprise that Jim is in the running for the 2024/25 Referee of the season.
CONGRATULATIONS
We would like to say a big congratulations to all the match officials that have been nominated and a big thank you to all the referees who work so hard to make our leAgue one of best officiated leagues there is.
