As time ticks on it becomes increasingly harder and harder to run amateur football clubs due to a number of things including player availability and finances.
Social media HQ are saddened to hear the unfortunate news that Lomond FC have called time on their remarkable run as a football club.
Unfortunate new to share, Lomond FC have taken hard decision to fold with immediate effect
Player commitment and costs playing a massive part in the final decision
Sadly both are big factors for lots of amateur clubs at moment
We wish everyone at club all best for future.
STATEMENT FROM THE CLUB
We have have made the tough decision to fold the team due to player availability & commitment. We have had some tough times but also alot of good times as we made the journey from Under 17s through to the Saturday Morning Glasgow Colleges Football Association Premier Division.
We would like to thank all who have played a part in our journey including players, parents, opposition and league committees.
Also a big thanks to our sponsors CAMPBELLS AIR CONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION LTD who have supported us from the start and laterly The Stags Head, Dumbarton. Without their support we wouldn’t have been able to keep football affordable to the young adults within our local area.
